Goodyear, one of the largest tire companies in the world, just recently introduced a self-regenerating tire, called its reCharge Concept tire, with artificial intelligence features.
The tire’s unique composition allows it to change treads according to environment and climate, as Goodyear hopes to contribute to the world’s shift towards sustainable mobility. ReCharge tires can adapt to road conditions, whether it’s on a smooth highway or a rocky pathway.
Goodyear shares that it had three concepts in mind during the production of reCharge, namely personalization, sustainability, and hassle-free use.
With the help of artificial intelligence, the tire can shift depending on climate, terrain, and driver demands.
